The Aftermath

How would you describe an "Aftermath" in a Christian family home? Some say it is a price tag one has to pay to get what God has for you. What are your thoughts?

  1. An aftermath in a Christian family home is unpredictable. Some of the children will stay in the faith and follow after their parents. Others will go astray. Some will continue to keep God in their lives and some will forget God, rebel, and go their own separate ways. Then there are some families where all the children remember what their parents taught them and keep God in their lives. I do agree that it is a "price tag" that we have to pay in order to receive what God has for us. I also believe that the aftermath is dependent on the children. Some who leave God will have to go through some stuff in order to get what God has for them and others will receive it because they stayed with God.

  2. I totally agree with your comment. However, you said "the aftermath is dependent on the children." Do you really believe that statement? Why must the children be held accountable? When are the parents held accountable?

  3. Wow, those are great questions. Allow me to re-phrase my statement. It's dependent on the children when the parents have done all they can do and was there for them. The parents are accountable when their actions are different from what they're teaching their children. They are accountable when they aren't there for their children even after they grow up and leave the house. So the aftermath is dependent on both the parents and the children.

  4. YES! I agree with that statement because the children are a product of the parents. This is why parents need to be a role model within the household and set the standard for the Christian household. The time has come that we live a life that is pleasing in the eyesight of God and not conforming ourselves to the things of this world. Thank you for your comments and God bless you as you continue to let your light shine among others.
